The Geis Group has undergone major changes over the past year. Now the process is coming to an end and from March all Geis companies will operate under one trademark.
The enlarged and stronger Geis Group in Poland is already fully prepared to offer comprehensive services in transport and logistics from a single source. The unification of the brand can, with some exaggeration, already be called just the "icing on the cake". It is given proper meaning by the preceding improvements in quality standards and even greater customer care.
The Geis Group entered the Polish market in 2006, offering sea-air transport. The real growth, however, came through business acquisitions in 2015.
In the first stage, modern operating systems and standardised IT platforms had to be introduced. In terms of technology, too, there were major changes.
The distribution network has changed beyond recognition since then. It now consists of 43 branches and three customs agencies. In Strykow, in the heart of Poland, a central sorting facility and a central general cargo HUB of almost 12,000 m2 with 120 gates and a throughput capacity of 16,000 shipments per hour have been established.
The unification of the trademark will not just be a cosmetic change. It will signal to us and our customers that we are operating in accordance with the standards of Germany, the Czech Republic and other countries where the Geis Group is present. It is also a commitment for us for the future.
